Pakistan’s Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) launched a resolute offensive against drug peddlers, executing four sweeping operations countrywide. These resulted in the impressive confiscation of 56 kilograms of illicit narcotics and the apprehension of seven individuals involved in drug trafficking.
Detailing the operations, the ANF spokesperson revealed that the force’s precision-led efforts managed to intercept a luxury Toyota Land Cruiser near Islamabad’s Motorway Toll Plaza. This intervention led to a staggering 30 kilograms of heroin being seized. The operation also unveiled five 30-bore pistols with magazines. Subsequent to this, two individuals hailing from Khyber and Peshawar were taken into custody.
Lahore saw the ANF’s proactive stance as well, where near Qamar Deen Park, a vehicle was intercepted yielding 14.4 kilograms of hashish. The operation culminated in the arrest of two suspects.
A high-stakes raid near Yaro Railway Track in Quetta brought in an Afghan national. The house, presumably a hub for drug storage, contained two kilograms of the potent drug ‘Ice’ and a whopping 190 litres of hydrochloric acid, along with various prohibited powders.
All detained individuals are now facing charges under the stringent Anti-Narcotics Act. As the force continues its investigations, these operations signify the ANF’s commitment to combatting drug-related crime across the country.
