Two abducted footballers, taken in Balochistan’s Dera Bugti in September, were recovered after over a month by authorities.

The athletes were part of the Dera Bugti district football team en route to a tournament in Sibi when they were kidnapped. While 18 players were released, the other six were retained by the armed group.

However, in a recent operation, the remaining two players were rescued from Dera Bugti’s Pirkoh tehsil and reunited with their families. According to Sibi Division Commissioner Bashir Ahmad Bangulzai, security forces conducted multiple operations that led to the recovery of the athletes.
