Rescue 1122 teams in Lower Dir responded to 137 emergency cases during the past week, providing life-saving services to residents across the district.
According to the district emergency office, the majority of incidents were medical emergencies, totaling 56 cases. Rescue staff also dealt with six road traffic accidents, one firearm injury, four quarrel-related cases, one drowning, one fire, and six recovery operations. In total, 130 injured individuals and patients were provided timely assistance.
Out of those rescued, 67 patients were shifted to hospitals within and outside the district for advanced medical care, while others were treated on the spot. Officials said the quick response of ambulance and rescue teams helped prevent further loss of life in many cases.
District Emergency Officer Sanaullah said the Rescue 1122 service in Lower Dir is committed to serving the public with dedication. He noted that the service continues to expand its capacity, ensuring trained staff and proper equipment remain available to handle a wide range of emergencies.
