In a heartbreaking incident, the renowned Saraiki folk singer, Sharafat Ali Khelvi, and six others lost their lives in a tragic car accident near Van Bachharan Pakka Ghanjira in Punjab’s Mianwali.
The accident occurred late at night and was the result of the vehicle plunging into a canal, believed to be due to excessive speed. The ill-fated vehicle, carrying musicians returning from a music party, tragically lost control and veered into the canal. Swift action by local rescue teams enabled them to recover the submerged vehicle and retrieve the bodies of all seven individuals involved in the accident.
Local law enforcement authorities, in their compassionate efforts to support the grieving families, discovered a bag filled with cash in the singer’s car. This bag was subsequently handed over to the relatives of the deceased to assist them during this difficult time.
As the community mourns this tragic loss, the local police have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident, aiming to provide clarity and closure to the affected families and fans of the talented Saraiki singer, Sharafat Ali Khelvi.
