Pakistani cricket sensation Shaheen Shah Afridi has officially tied the knot with Ansha Afridi, the daughter of legendary cricketer Shahid Afridi, in a private wedding ceremony held in Karachi. The couple had previously exchanged their wedding vows in a private nikkah ceremony earlier this year.
The star-studded wedding ceremony saw the presence of notable sports personalities and athletes, including skipper Babar Azam, who shared warm embraces with the groom. Shaheen Shah Afridi expressed his family bond with Babar Azam in a social media post captioned “family.”
Shaheen and Ansha initially solemnized their union in a beautiful daytime nikkah ceremony in Karachi on February 3. Following the nikkah, a grand reception was organized for the couple at the DHA Golf and Country Club, attended by many of Shaheen’s teammates from the national cricket team.
Shaheen Shah Afridi’s wedding adds to the list of cricket weddings that have taken place this year. Cricketer Shadab Khan announced his nikah ceremony in January and requested privacy while sending prayers and love to his family. Shan Masood also celebrated his marriage to Nische Khan in a grand ceremony in Peshawar in January, while Haris Rauf tied the knot with Muzna Masood Malik in a daytime nikah ceremony in Islamabad in December of the previous year.
