Following their reversal of retirement from international cricket, Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim are poised to participate in Pakistan’s T20 World Cup physical fitness camp at Kakul, where they will be joined by Usman Khan and other squad members.

A total of 29 players, including the aforementioned trio, are scheduled to partake in the fitness camp in Abbottabad, established in collaboration with the Pakistan Army, from March 26 to April 8, as announced by the PCB.

The camp, which commences today, aims to prepare the players for upcoming series and tournaments, including the home T20I series against New Zealand and the away fixtures against Ireland and England.

Focused on team building and enhancing physical and mental strength, the camp aims to ensure players are in optimal condition to tackle forthcoming challenges, as highlighted in a press release by the board.

Under the guidance of experienced trainers and coaches, the players will undergo a tailored training regime aimed at boosting their fitness levels, agility, leadership skills, strategic thinking, and overall on-field performance.

This announcement follows the recent reorganization of the national selection committee, comprising seven members, including former cricketers Mohammad Yousuf, Wahab Riaz, Abdul Razzaq, and Asad Shafiq, alongside the head coach, captain, and an analyst.

The list of players attending the fitness camp includes prominent names such as Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Shadab Khan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Hasan Ali, alongside the returning Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim.
