The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration has apprehended Khawar Maneka at the airport. He was scheduled to travel to Dubai via Emirates Airlines.
According to sources, Khawar Maneka was stopped at Allama Iqbal International Airport due to his inclusion in the Exit Control List (ECL). He is facing a case related to corruption.
On the other hand, according to a spokesperson for the Anti-Corruption Establishment Punjab, Khawar Maneka has been arrested for illegal constructions on government land. An inquiry is underway against Khawar Farid Maneka based on the reference by the Deputy Commissioner. The DC reference alleges that Khawar Maneka constructed an illegal marriage hall on the graveyard’s premises. He also constructed 26 shops illegally on the graveyard land.
The case against Khawar Farid Maneka alleges that a marriage hall was built without approval/plans on 4 kanals of graveyard land. Khawar Farid Maneka has been an unauthorized occupant on the land of Pir Islam graveyard for some time. He was attempting to flee the country when the Anti-Corruption Establishment arrested him. The Anti-Corruption Establishment is conducting widespread actions against corrupt elements across Punjab, according to the spokesperson.
