The caretaker government of Pakistan has unveiled the Hajj Policy for 2024, bringing promising news for Pakistani Hajj pilgrims. Caretaker Minister for Religious Affairs, Aneeq Ahmed, announced that the federal cabinet would approve the Hajj policy within the next 10 days, acknowledging the challenges caused by the delay in its approval.

One of the significant highlights of the new policy is the inclusion of two distinct Hajj options: a traditional 40-day Hajj and a shorter-duration Hajj. This choice aims to cater to the diverse needs of pilgrims, offering them flexibility in their pilgrimage plans.

In a bid to enhance the convenience and safety of Pakistan’s Hajj pilgrims, the Ministry of Religious Affairs has introduced a unique feature. Pilgrims will receive two suitcases with specific colors and designs, ensuring that they do not misplace their belongings during the sacred journey.

Furthermore, the Hajj policy introduces a technological innovation by incorporating essential pilgrim documents, such as passport and residence details, into a QR code on the suitcase. This digitized approach streamlines the documentation process and provides additional security for travelers.

In a significant move to foster communication, the policy grants pilgrims the freedom to make unlimited calls to Pakistan, ensuring they can stay connected with their loved ones throughout the pilgrimage.

Earlier announcements by Caretaker Minister Aneeq Ahmed indicated that the Saudi Arabian government is committed to enhancing facilities and services for Pakistani pilgrims during Hajj 2024. This commitment extends to improvements in accommodation, meals, and transportation, promising a more comfortable and convenient experience for all pilgrims.

Saudi Minister for Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s dedication to cooperation with Pakistan. He highlighted ongoing efforts by the Saudi government to elevate services for Pakistani pilgrims, with several initiatives aimed at ensuring their comfort and convenience during this sacred journey.

The forthcoming approval of the Hajj Policy 2024 and the collaborative efforts between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia signify a positive step forward in providing an enriched pilgrimage experience for Pakistani Hajj pilgrims.
