The All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA) has resumed releasing bullion rates after a break of around a month.
According to the APSGJA, the price of gold (24 carats) has decreased by Rs15,500 per tola and Rs13,546 per 10 grams, settling at Rs199,500 and Rs171,039, respectively. The last time bullion rates were issued was on September 12, when the price of gold stood at Rs215,000 per tola.
The suspension of bullion rates was due to uncertain economic conditions and speculation. During this period, gold traders quoted prices at their discretion. The international price of gold has also seen a significant decrease of $55, settling at $1,891 per ounce.
