Islamabad Capital Police’s Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) conducted a comprehensive search and combing operation within the jurisdiction of Tarnol police station. This operation, driven by the directives of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, is part of an ongoing effort to enhance the safety and security of the citizens of Islamabad.
Under the guidance of these directives, various search and combing operations are being carried out in different areas of the city. The objective is to proactively identify and address potential security concerns.
In this instance, the search and combing operation were executed in different areas falling under the jurisdiction of Tarnol police station. A collaborative effort involving the CTD, FC, and local police teams was undertaken.

During the operation, a total of 120 individuals deemed suspicious were thoroughly examined, along with the inspection of 35 motorcycles, 10 vehicles, and 150 houses. As a result of these efforts, 22 individuals were identified as suspicious, and 53 foreigners were shifted to the police station for verification purposes.
ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan underscored that the primary aim of these search and combing operations is to bolster security in the Federal Capital. He reiterated that all zonal officers have been directed to continue conducting such operations in their respective areas. Moreover, citizens are kindly requested to cooperate with the police during these security checks.
