The salaries and benefits for Members of the National Assembly (MNAs) have been disclosed, showing that each MNA receives a base salary of Rs 150,000 per month.

Additional allowances of Rs 38,000 bring their total monthly earnings to Rs 188,000. Chairmen of Standing Committees earn an extra Rs 25,000, making their total monthly income Rs 213,000. Additionally, MNAs receive Rs 8,800 for each session of the National Assembly or Standing Committee they attend.

Travel expenses for MNAs include Rs 150 per kilometer for air travel and Rs 25 per kilometer for road travel. They are also provided with annual travel vouchers worth Rs 300,000, Rs 90,000 in cash, and 30 business class open tickets.

As per sources, the Punjab Assembly has approved spending Rs 180 million on luxury vehicles. This includes purchasing a Toyota Land Cruiser for Rs 100 million for the Speaker and a Toyota Fortuner for Rs 22.5 million for the Deputy Speaker. The finance committee, led by the Speaker, also approved a Toyota Fortuner for the Assembly Secretary and two Hilux Vigo trucks for the Speaker’s security, costing a total of Rs 30 million.
