Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Atta Tarar said on Wednesday that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif had named Shehbaz Sharif as the prime minister and Ayaz Sadiq as the National Assembly speaker.
Speaking to the media in Islamabad, Tarar talked about the PML-N’s parliamentary party meeting. “Nawaz Sharif was paid homage due to the services he rendered for both the party and country.”
“The tribute was also given to Shehbaz Sharif for averting the risks of the country’s default.”
Regarding the name of the NA deputy speaker, Tarar said: “The decision will be taken after holding bilateral consultations with the PPP on the name of the NA deputy speaker.”
“The party will decide on the appointment of Balochistan governor soon.”
