In a significant development, the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) have announced their joint participation in the upcoming general elections, slated for February 8, 2024.
The decision was reached during a meeting held at the PML-N’s Model Town secretariat in Lahore, where an MQM-P delegation, including Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Farooq Sattar, and Syed Mustafa Kamal, engaged in discussions with PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif.
Following the meeting, senior PML-N leader Khawaja Saad Rafique addressed the media, confirming the alliance and stating that both parties have mutually agreed to contest the February 8 polls together.
