In a heartwarming development, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Sadaqat Ali Abbasi has finally returned home after being missing for a month. His emotional reunion with family members was captured in a video that is circulating on social media.
The PTI leader had gone missing, raising concerns among his loved ones and supporters. On October 3, an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi granted him bail in the GHQ attack case.
Mr. Abbasi had been picked up from outside Parliament Lodges, and a petition seeking his recovery had been pending before the Islamabad High Court (IHC). The petition contended that unknown individuals had kidnapped the PTI leader and requested his safe return.
However, Sadaqat Ali Abbasi chose to appear before the Rawalpindi ATC and sought pre-arrest interim bail. The judge granted him bail against a surety bond of Rs50,000.
ATC Judge Malik Ejaz Asif also directed Mr. Abbasi to cooperate with the investigation and appear before the police as and when required. Further hearing on his bail petition has been adjourned until October 10.
