Former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry addressed speculations about his alleged departure from Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI), asserting that those who leave something eventually find their way back to it.
Fawad Chaudhry made these remarks during a media interaction at an anti-terrorism court in Rawalpindi, where he appeared alongside former PTI chief whip Shireen Mazari. The court session revolved around charges stemming from the May 9, 2023, incidents, during which PTI workers and supporters reportedly attacked military installations under the leadership of Imran Khan.
Chaudhry emphasized his appearance before the court in connection with the violent events of May 9, describing the period as challenging and emphasizing the need for reconciliation amid lingering bitterness. He hinted at forthcoming revelations about his experiences during the aftermath of the May 9 unrest, suggesting that only a fraction of the narrative had been presented thus far, primarily by those who had appeared on television.
Addressing the prospect of his potential return to PTI, Chaudhry expressed a willingness for negotiations with all stakeholders, including Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl chief Maulana Fazl ur Rehman.
