Before departing for the scheduled World Cup cricket tournament in India, Pakistan’s national team captain, Babar Azam, released a statement on his social media platform, Twitter (X).

In his message, Captain Babar Azam shared his anticipation about the upcoming World Cup journey. He expressed his hope that cricket enthusiasts and fans would extend their support to the team and convey their best wishes.

Furthermore, Babar Azam expressed his belief that the fans’ support and affection would continue to be a source of inspiration for the team.

The national team departed for India for the World Cup from the Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore. The squad consists of 15 members, along with three reserve players, coaches, and support staff, totaling 13 officials.

Bowling coach Morne Morkel will join the team in Dubai today, while Team Director Micky Arthur is scheduled to arrive in India on September 30.

On the other hand, the national team will have a stay of nine hours in Dubai before heading to their next destination, Hyderabad. According to the flight schedule, the team is expected to reach Hyderabad at 8:15 PM local time.

It’s worth noting that the Green Shirts are preparing for their next warm-up match, which is scheduled against New Zealand on the following day. Subsequently, on October 3, they will face Australia in their opening match of the tournament.
