Educational institutions in Punjab have been closed for four days due to a widespread eye infection outbreak.

The Punjab government issued a notification to shut down educational institutions in the province. All public and private educational institutions will remain closed for four days. In Rawalpindi, educational institutions will be closed until Sunday.

87 individuals have suffered vision loss due to the harmful injection that caused eye infections in various parts of Punjab.

The police have arrested a suspect involved in preparing harmful and substandard injections. Authorities have urged people to take precautionary measures to protect their eyes from the eye infection outbreak.
