Nestled in the scenic beauty of Islamabad, the Kotli Sattian Waterfall is a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting this breathtaking location, and I want to share my journey with you.
The adventure began early in the morning as I set out on my bike from Chak Shahzad Road, with my family, as my travel companion. Our destination was the Kotli Sattian Waterfall, located about 35 kilometers from our starting point. The route took us through Simly Dam, a serene and picturesque path that added to the charm of our journey.
Navigating through the twists and turns, we found ourselves on a road lined with nurseries on both sides. The path was rough at times, but the thrill of the journey kept our spirits high. After about an hour and ten minutes, we finally reached the vicinity of the waterfall. The sight of the water cascading down from the mountain was nothing short of mesmerizing.
As we approached the waterfall, the sound of the water became louder, and the cool breeze that accompanied it was refreshing. The hike to the waterfall was challenging, with steep and rocky terrain that required careful navigation. However, the effort was worth it when we finally stood before the majestic waterfall. The water, clear and cold, flowed gracefully down the rocks, creating a peaceful ambiance that was perfect for relaxation.
The surrounding area was lush with greenery, and the atmosphere was tranquil, offering a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. We spent some time taking in the beauty of the place, capturing memories through photographs and enjoying the serenity that the waterfall provided.
As we began our journey back, the skies started to darken, hinting at the possibility of rain. The return trip was just as challenging as the hike up, with the slippery rocks and the steep descent making it a test of endurance. However, with cautious steps and a steady pace, we made it back safely.
Visiting Kotli Sattian Waterfall was an unforgettable experience. The natural beauty of the area, combined with the thrill of the hike, made it a perfect destination for adventure seekers and nature lovers alike.
