PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif is all set to commence his party’s election campaign on November 10. After a self-imposed exile, Nawaz returned to Pakistan and chaired the party’s meeting, emphasizing the strengthening of judicial institutions.
He will supervise the parliamentary board’s ticket distribution and lead the party’s nationwide campaign through his extensive tours. PML-N’s General Secretary, Ashan Iqbal, expressed the party’s aspiration for Nawaz to become the country’s next prime minister, citing his alleged ousting from electoral politics via orchestrated conspiracy and false cases.
The meeting at Jati Umra focused on discussing the political situation, general elections, and the unveiling of the party’s manifesto. Despite facing criticism from political opponents, including the PPP and PTI, Nawaz Sharif has had his pleas restored by the Islamabad High Court, leading to the suspension of his conviction in the Al-Azizia reference by the Punjab government.
