The New Zealand cricket team arrived in Islamabad in the early hours of Sunday morning, gearing up for their T20I series against Pakistan, which is set to kick off on April 18th.
Led by Michael Bracewell, the Kiwi squad will face off against the Men in Green in a five-match series, with three games slated for Rawalpindi and the remaining two to be played in Lahore. The series is scheduled to conclude on April 27th.
A day prior to their arrival, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) disclosed the match officials for the series, headed by Andy Pycroft, a member of the Emirates International Cricket Council (ICC) elite panel of match referees. The panel includes Aleem Dar, Asif Yaqoob, Faisal Afridi, and Rashid Riaz.
The Pakistan squad, captained by Babar Azam, has announced its 17-member lineup, featuring the comeback of pacer Mohammad Amir and all-rounder Imad Wasim. Notably, the series may witness the debut of Usman Khan and Muhammad Irfan Khan, following their impressive performances in the recently concluded ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 9).
