The Pakistani Rupee extended its remarkable winning streak against the US Dollar for the 12th consecutive session in the interbank market, gaining an impressive Rs1.13.
Forex traders in Karachi reported that the local currency strengthened against the American currency, reaching an exchange rate of Rs292.75.
In the previous session, the Pakistani Rupee had experienced a gain of 0.35% in the interbank market, settling at Rs293.88, reflecting an increase of Rs1.02.
During her meeting with Pakistan’s caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly summit, the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Kristalina Georgieva, emphasized that the organization’s request for Pakistan was centered on taxing the wealthy and safeguarding the well-being of the less privileged. She noted that this aligns with the desires of the people of Pakistan.
