Pakistan’s star pacer, Shaheen Afridi, added another feather to his cap, becoming the fastest fast-bowler to claim 100 wickets in one-day internationals (ODI) during the ICC Men’s World Cup 2023 match against Bangladesh.
Tanzid Hasan became Shaheen’s 100th victim, falling LBW to the fifth delivery of Bangladesh’s first over.
The left-handed bowler achieved this milestone in 51 matches, surpassing Australia’s Mitchell Starc, who achieved the feat in 52 matches.
It’s noteworthy that Nepal’s Sandeep Lamichhane accomplished the feat in 42 matches, while Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan reached the milestone in 44 matches.
