Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s steadfast commitment to bolstering Pakistan’s economic growth.
Addressing a joint presser along with Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Tuesday in Islamabad, he expressed gratitude for the warm reception and hospitality received in Pakistan, emphasizing the significance of strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries. He highlighted the vast opportunities for increased investment in sectors such as energy, agriculture, minerals, and IT.
The visit, prompted by directives from Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, underscores the Kingdom’s dedication to fostering close ties with Pakistan.
In response, Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar welcomed the high-level Saudi delegation, expressing optimism about transforming bilateral cooperation into a strategic partnership. He assured full support for Saudi investment initiatives, emphasizing Pakistan’s commitment to providing a conducive environment for foreign investors under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s directives.
Both sides reiterated their resolve to elevate their partnership and explore avenues for mutual benefit. Prince Faisal commended Pakistan’s proactive approach and emphasized the need to tap into the country’s untapped potential for economic progress.
Additionally, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia jointly called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, expressing deep concern over the humanitarian crisis in the region. They urged the international community to take decisive action to end the violence and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to alleviate the suffering of the people of Gaza.
