Caretaker Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication, Dr. Umar Saif, has announced plans to enhance telecom services in Pakistan. He revealed that a 5G spectrum auction is scheduled for the coming months.

Dr. Umar Saif recently met with Aamir Ibrahim, CEO of Jazz, to discuss the timeline and details of the 5G auction, as well as the overall state of telecom services in Pakistan.

During the meeting, the Caretaker IT Minister emphasized the need for improved telecom services, citing limited bandwidth as a hindrance to quality services for cellular users. He expressed optimism that the upcoming 5G auction would lead to better telecom services nationwide.

Additionally, Dr. Umar Saif held separate meetings with the CEOs of Ufone and Zong to inform them about the impending 5G auction and prepare the market for this technological advancement.
