Hamza Shehbaz, a senior leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), expressed his admiration for former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif during a meeting with the traders’ community in Lahore.
Hamza highlighted Nawaz Sharif’s leadership and ability to address the challenges faced by the country. “Nawaz Sharif has proven to be vital in addressing the problems faced by the masses,” stated Hamza during the meeting. He emphasized that Nawaz Sharif possesses the knowledge and experience to tackle issues across all segments of society and has a track record of leading the country toward prosperity when in power.
Hamza recalled the PML-N’s previous tenure in power, noting that they left in 2018 after making significant developmental strides. However, they returned to power in 2022 when the country faced economic challenges and was on the brink of default.
Speaking at a workers’ convention in Lahore, Hamza expressed the view that the country currently needs a “savior” to navigate the economic challenges it faces. He referred to Nawaz Sharif as that savior, suggesting that his leadership would help put the country’s economy back on track.
Hamza also mentioned the widespread anticipation surrounding Nawaz Sharif’s return on October 21, with people across the country, including Punjab and Lahore, eagerly awaiting his arrival. He emphasized Lahore’s historical significance as a stronghold of the PML-N.
Looking ahead, Hamza expressed hope that under Nawaz Sharif’s leadership, there would be reductions in the prices of essential goods and petroleum products, along with efforts to combat unemployment. He stressed the need for comprehensive measures to provide relief to the masses, addressing the pressing economic and social issues facing the country.
