Greetings, everyone! I am Navera Iqbal, a proud Ambassador of Huawei and a postgraduate student pursuing a Master’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro.
My journey with Huawei started from a deep curiosity to explore the cutting edge of information and communication technology (ICT). Technology and innovation have always fascinated me, and Huawei has been a source of inspiration, propelling me toward my goals in this dynamic field.
The Huawei ICT Competition is globally renowned, providing a platform for students to showcase their talents and gain exposure to cutting-edge technologies. My understanding of its importance grew after Huawei’s teamvisited our university during the 2023-2024 roadshow. Their comprehensive presentation given by Mr. Hamza Najam, Manager Talent Ecosystem Huawei Pakistan offered valuable insights into the competition, which ignited my passion for ICT and their vision of bridging the gap between academia and industry. Although I qualified only for the preliminary round last year, I didn’t let this setback define my journey. Instead, I viewed it as a stepping stone—a chapter in a story still unfolding, one about resilience, growth, and eventual triumph.
This experience taught me the importance of perseverance and learning from challenges. It inspired me to prepare more diligently for the next year. The competition became not just a single event but a path to success fueled by passion, commitment, and a vision to excel. As the Huawei ICT Competition 2024-2025 approached, excitement filled the air when Huawei’s team visited Mehran University again. Their vibrant presentations reignited my motivation, and I felt more determined than ever.
The registration process was the first sign that the competition was upon us, and as the initial rounds began, I felt a deep sense of purpose. “Contestants, fasten your seat belts—the ICT Competition is here!” echoed in my mind. The journey ahead promised to be a challenging yet rewarding experience, a chance to grow, learn, and discover new strengths. The preliminary rounds stood as the first hurdle, requiring precision and poise to lay the foundation for what lay ahead. To my delight, I cleared the preliminary round and triumphed in the national round with an outstanding score that left a lasting impression. This success was both a milestone and motivation to aim higher. With the national round behind me, the next challenge—the regional round—loomed large, demanding full dedication and relentless effort. My days became a disciplined routine of preparation, and my nights were consumed entirely by the ICT competition. It was no longer just an event; it became my world, my focus, and my ultimate purpose.
Finally, the regional round arrived. I approached it with unwavering confidence, knowing that I had put in the work. The MCQ round was the first test, a fast-paced session that required quick thinking and accurate knowledge. Then came the LABS round, the most demanding part of the competition, lasting for four intense hours. Despite the pressure, my determination remained strong. Every step of the way, I reminded myself of the effort and sacrifices I had made to get here. It wasn’t just about the competition; it was about proving myself and testing my limits.
Now, as I stand on the threshold of the global round, I am filled with hope and confidence. The global round in Saudi Arabia and the prestigious Prize Distribution Ceremony represent the culmination of hard work, perseverance, and relentless effort. This journey is not just a competition; it’s a celebration of excellence, innovation, and the collective drive to achieve greatness. My goal is clear: to bring glory to my country and honor to my university.
Reflecting on this journey, I am deeply grateful for the unwavering support I’ve received from my mentors, teachers, and parents. Their guidance and encouragement have been vital to my success. As I prepare for the global round, my heart is filled with gratitude and optimism. Regardless of the outcome, this journey itself is a victory.
