Battle on the Pitch: Sri Lanka Set a Modest Total
Sri Lanka were restricted to 133 for 8 in their 20 overs, a modest target given the attacking surfaces in Abu Dhabi.
The Pakistani bowlers were effective, especially Shaheen Afridi, who grabbed 3 for 28, including an early breakthrough in the first over.
Spinner Abrar Ahmed also made an impact, cleaning up Wanindu Hasaranga amid controlled spells that helped choke Sri Lanka’s momentum.

Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha acknowledged flaws despite the win: “I cannot say it was a perfect game … We lost four wickets in three overs, but apart from that, it could be a perfect game.”
